Can you believe that pudding is one year old?
Time goes so fast!!
It was his birthday yesterday and I wanted to write something then but I have had a terrible flu that I just can't seem to shake and now the kids are sick as well but alhamdulillah. I don't celebrate birthdays as such but my non Muslim family does of course, so my Mum brought him this big dump truck on the weekend which he loves wheeling around the house. Sometimes he stands on it as leverage to get into things he shouldn't be! Such as my chocolate stash I hid in my scarf drawer.....he obviously takes after his mother ;)
Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last post, I love all my sisters so much! I wish I could give you all big hugs and cookies xxx

Walikum Salam dear Yosra, thank you so much for stopping by. I'm writing you an email as we speak xxx
DeleteMasha-Allah! Yes, as Muslims, we should never celebrate our birthdays if the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam never celebrated his noble birth date. Even the noble companions of the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam never celebrated his or their birth dates, so why should we celebrate ours :)
ReplyDeleteI think your son looks so cute, Masha-Allah. Can I ask, what nationality is he? Half-Saudi half...?
my blog sister in Islam :)

Even in the bible birthdays were never celebrated and when they did calamity always followed! So of course I am grateful for each year I have my children and the date of their birth reminds me of that, and that alone really. No there is no Saudi in my little boy :) He is half New-Zealander and half Egyptian :)
DeleteAsalamu alaikum,
ReplyDeleteMay Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) grant you pious children and a means of salvation for the hereafter inshAllah.
Take Care
He is already one Bonnie! I can't believe a year ago already I saw the tiny face face of your angel. I think whether we celebrate or not birthdays, we should celebrate the beauty of life anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is how I feel when I wish him a lovely day!
Sending my love Bonnie. Hope you will all feel much better soon
xx
Masha'Allah Bonnie your son is adorable. He is growing to be so precious, I really lvoe kids at this age because they are so much fun. I am so inspired by you, and others like you. Despite all your difficulties, you keep persevering and you still manage to keep going. Inshaa-Allah one day when your children are all grown up, they will be there to do things for you and ensure that you have a life of ease.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling, the world needs more smiles and laughter.
